Group CEO

Richard joined Rubery Owen in January 2015 and is the fourth generation Group CEO.

Richard gained a BA (Hons) in English literature at Bristol University.  After University he worked for Bass, Mattel and Hallmark in sales, marketing and general management roles.  During that time he also gained an MBA from Reading University.

Richard spent two years heading the sales and marketing teams within a division of Rentokil-Initial during a significant phase of the company’s turnaround. He was then approached to become Managing Director of Ecolution, an equity backed venture in the Renewables/Construction sector, based near London. This company has become the largest in their sector and Richard is still active on the Board.

During this time, Richard became a Fellow and Chartered Director within the Institute of Directors.

Finance Director

Kevin graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1998 with a BA (Hons) in Modern History and Politics.  Having completed a gap year in Australia, he joined Ernst and Young as a graduate trainee in 2001 and progressed to Audit Senior Manager, leaving in 2012 to take on the role of Chief Accountant at Neovia Logistics, which had recently divested from Caterpillar Inc.  He then moved on to the RAC where he worked with large corporate customers as a Senior Finance Business Partner.

Kevin joined ROH as Group Finance Director in January 2016 and has made a significant contribution to shaping the strategic direction of the Group.

Non-Executive Director

Chris joined the ROH Board as a Non-Executive Director in 2015.  As an internationally experienced NED, Chris has strong interests in engineering, manufacturing, technology and international markets. His strengths lie in general management, sales, marketing and strategy backed by commercial acumen.

Chris is currently Chief Executive of Dymag Performance wheels, who manufacture carbon fibre wheels for both motorcycles and high performance cars

Non-Executive Director

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Chris has a proven track record of operating at senior board level within the Public and Private Sector.

Chris became a Non-Executive Director of Rubery Owen Holdings in 2015 and brings to the board over 30 years commercial experience in driving change, whilst managing risk and developing and embedding innovative strategies to support the growth of the Group.

John joined the family business, Rubery Owen, in 1963 as Managing Director of two subsidiary companies and was appointed Chief Executive of the Group’s main manufacturing operation in Darlaston in 1970.  In 1981 he became Group Managing Director for the whole of the Rubery Owen Group and was appointed Executive Chairman in 2010 until his retirement at the end of December 2014.

John has remained on the ROH Board as a Non-Executive Director and makes a valuable contribution with his wealth of experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

His interests include golf, gardening  and rugby football (14 England Caps 1963-7)

Faye is a chartered member of the CIPD with a 15 year background in generalist HR and management development.  Working on an interim basis providing the leaders of the business with support in communication, coaching & development and performance management, alongside providing guidance on employment law best practice.  Faye is also an internal verifier on the CIPD programme.

Company Secretary

Elaine joined the Company as a Secretarial Trainee in 1973 and has provided Secretarial support to the Chairman and Chief Executive since 1982.

In 2002 she took on the role of Group Company Secretary and continues to support the Directors and CEO as well as overseeing HR for the group and the administration of the pension scheme.

Payroll Manager and HR Support

Having worked in the Banking and Finance sector in London, Mary brings a wealth of experience to the ROH Team since joining the Company in November 2014.

As well as her role as Payroll Manager, Mary provides HR support to the Group.
