Techtron Gains Vegetarian Society Approval

July 18, 2016

BRC-accredited contract packer, Techtron (www.techtron.co.uk) has recently gained approval from the Vegetarian Society for a range of natural petcare products. The official trademark can now be displayed on customers’ and Techtron’s own formulations and products.  A difficult accreditation to receive, this confirms that all labelled items are free from animal flesh, are cruelty free and there has been no cross-contamination with non-vegetarian ingredients during the production process. This range of products can now be deemed as suitable for use by vegetarians.

Dr Clare Rowe, general manager of Techtron, believes that achieving Vegetarian Society approval will help the company to develop more interesting formulations in this growing market.  In turn, Techtron’s customers will be able to achieve a wider range of selling options.

Techtron has over 30 years’ experience of putting liquids in bottles, in volumes ranging from 50ml to 1000L, with the flexibility for short runs.  The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is based on Deeside’s Industrial Park in North Wales - one of the largest parks in Europe, offering fantastic transport links to the north and the south of the UK and is close to Merseyside’s ports for import and export.

The contract packing facility offers the complete range of services required from formulation, regulatory and compliance, blending, quality control, filling, marketing and design, dispatch, logistics and distribution.
